Musk's Secret Texas Project: What's Unfolding?
Elon Musk is preparing a unique product gallery at his sprawling Texas ranch, an homage to his career from early software to groundbreaking space and electric vehicle ventures. This reflective moment comes as his entities continue to expand their land holdings in Bastrop County, growing to thousands of acres. The gallery will showcase revolutionary inventions, coinciding with SpaceX's record-breaking IPO, signaling a significant inflection point in Musk's career.
Elon Musk recently announced plans for a product gallery at his Texas ranch, which he’s described as a place to celebrate his many product inventions. While the exact details of the gallery and its public access remain under wraps, it's clear the project is substantial.
Land acquisition records point to thousands of acres in Bastrop County, east of Austin near the Colorado River, held through an LLC managed by his longtime friend Jared Birchall. This footprint has grown significantly, with Musk-tied entities accumulating approximately 2,000 acres in Bastrop County by mid-2026, and potentially up to 6,000 acres across Bastrop and Travis counties.
The gallery is expected to cover a wide array of innovations, starting with Blastar, a simple game Musk coded at age 12. It will trace his commercial journey from Zip2 and PayPal to the founding of SpaceX and Tesla, SolarCity, Neuralink, and The Boring Company. More recent ventures like OpenAI, X, xAI, Optimus, Cybercab, and SpaceXAI will also be featured.
Beyond technological products, the collection will likely include unique cultural artifacts such as The Boring Company’s Not-a-Flamethrower, Tesla Short Shorts, and Burnt Hair perfume. This retrospective comes at a significant time, following SpaceX's historic $75 billion IPO, marking a pivotal moment for Musk to reflect on his vast contributions across various industries.
