Tesla's Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system has just received its v14.3.5 update, bringing a mix of notable improvements and familiar challenges for drivers. Early impressions highlight enhanced awareness and courtesy on the road, making the experience smoother in complex traffic situations. However, some areas like parking accuracy and consistent speed control still appear to need refinement. This continuous evolution of autonomous features underscores the rapid progress in electric vehicle technology, pushing towards safer and more efficient transportation solutions that align with a sustainable future.

Tesla has rolled out its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.3.5 update, and early user experiences show a system that's becoming notably more aware and courteous on the road. Drivers report that the FSD system is making more considerate moves, such as skillfully navigating around a work truck by taking a wider turn, or even backing up slightly to give a large semi-truck more room for a turn. One user shared an impressive instance where the system intelligently reversed in a narrow alley to make space for an oncoming car, only to re-enter when it realized the other car was parking.

However, the update isn't without its quirks. A recurring observation points to inconsistencies with 'Speed Profiles,' making it tricky for the system to maintain the correct speed without frequent adjustments. A more significant area needing improvement appears to be parking, with multiple users, including a notable long-distance Tesla driver, describing parking attempts on v14.3.5 as surprisingly poor.

On a positive note, the v14.3.5 update introduces a convenient new feature: drivers can now open the Camera Preview at any time, a functionality previously limited to when the vehicle was in Park. This continuous refinement of self-driving technology is a key part of the broader shift towards advanced electric vehicles, offering a glimpse into a future where transportation is not only cleaner but also smarter and potentially safer, contributing significantly to environmental goals.
