Tesla is making electric vehicle ownership even more exciting with its new 2026 Free Supercharging Competition. Building on the popular Charging Passport feature, this initiative transforms everyday charging into a fun, competitive adventure. Owners can now track their journeys, earn digital badges, and compete for the ultimate prize: lifetime free Supercharging for their vehicle. This innovative approach encourages more road trips and greater utilization of the extensive Supercharger network, reinforcing the appeal of sustainable electric transport. It’s a clever way to deepen owner loyalty and celebrate the electric journey.

The Charging Passport, launched last year, acts like a digital travel diary for Tesla owners. Found within the Tesla app, it maps out visited Superchargers and tracks key statistics like total energy charged and unique locations explored. Drivers earn collectible digital badges for milestones, visiting iconic stations, or participating in special events, making each charging stop a part of a larger, rewarding journey.

Now, the 2026 Free Supercharging Competition takes this gamification to the next level by offering lifetime free Supercharging. All charging sessions from January 1 to December 31, 2026, count towards the contest. To join, owners simply need to enable data sharing and open their "Charging Passport" in the app before the year ends.

Nine lucky winners will be chosen – three from each major global region. Prizes will be awarded across three categories: the longest continuous road trip visiting unique Superchargers, the highest number of distinct Supercharger sites visited, and the most energy charged overall. This encourages drivers to explore new places and fully embrace the long-distance capabilities of their electric vehicles.

This competition is part of Tesla's broader gamification strategy to make owning an electric vehicle more engaging and rewarding. By blending digital rewards with valuable incentives like free charging, Tesla not only encourages greater use of its sustainable transport network but also strengthens community and loyalty among its drivers. It transforms routine charging into an exciting pursuit, highlighting how electric mobility can be both practical and thrilling.
