Tesla has quietly launched a new public interest form, inviting businesses to become partners in its ambitious Cybercab robotaxi network. This marks the first time companies can officially express interest in buying fleets of the innovative two-seat electric vehicles, which are central to Tesla’s vision for future mobility. Unveiled as a concept in 2024, the Cybercab is built purely for self-driving, completely lacking traditional controls like a steering wheel or pedals.

These fully electric vehicles represent a major leap towards sustainable urban transport. By removing the need for human drivers and operating on clean electricity, Cybercabs promise to drastically cut emissions in cities, making our air cleaner and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Tesla has already been rigorously testing these autonomous vehicles on public streets in Texas, with regulatory filings pointing to a substantial range of nearly 300 miles on a single charge.

This move suggests Tesla is not just planning to operate its own robotaxi service, but wants to empower other businesses to deploy Cybercabs on its platform. This approach could rapidly accelerate the adoption of electric, autonomous transport, making environmentally friendly ride-hailing widely available. While pricing and delivery details for fleet customers are still to come, Tesla has previously hinted at a target price around $25,000 to $30,000 per vehicle, making large-scale deployment an exciting possibility for a greener future.
